About
About Me
I have been homeschooling since 1988. Two children are still at home, one is in college, and the older two are college, graduates, and now parents themselves. In addition to teaching my own children, I enjoy teaching Sunday School and working part-time at The Homeschool Store.
I attended both the University of Arizona and the University of Houston. A lifelong love of words has led me to such various places as the National Spelling Bee (1976), Jeopardy! (2008), and the chance to be published in several homeschool related books and magazines. My family and I are members of Christ Church (PCA) in Katy, Texas.
WHHE PREP: Bringing Parents and Teachers Together
One of the benefits of a being part of a large homeschooling community is the chance to have our children learn from other adults in other environments. As a satisfied homeschooling mother of 5, I can honestly say that without a program like PREP, our family’s education would not be the same. After participating as a parent, I became an instructor with the program 10 years ago. I am privileged to be involved in the lives of homeschooled young people. They are truly a blessing and a joy to teach.
